It will need service attention.

I read up online and apparently this is common with retail ones, with no longer term solution as it does reoccur once fixed. As you press the crown in to screw it down, the stem prevents part A from pressing in, so the spring compresses. Depending on the exact design that msybir may not disengage the squares, allowing you to turn the crown without continuing to wind the watch.
