I sent to RSC and they came back saying that the hands and dial was damage and it should be replaced. By appearance it looked fine but I sent ahead to have them replaced .

So, I have my 1966 Oysterdate (6694) in for service right now with Rolex. I got it for my wedding in 2020. It's a non-lume dial with dagger markers and alpha hands.
I have an old 6694 hand me down from dad and just want to know more about it. no more in production, however a substitue model would be the airking or something similar. based on my insurance valuation, it would cost A00, which is equal to an Airking in Oz from the only AD here. They replaced the hands, crystal, crown, and a few other things. They sent me the old parts they replaced as a courtesy. They are correct to say that gold indices and hands would either only come one a two tone, gold capped or solid gold watch. 6694s and parts are so abundant that most likely the dial and hands were swapped out at some point during its life to meet someones personal taste, a very common practice on the 6694.
